Events must comply with all federal, state and local laws governing charitable fund-raising, gift reporting and special events. Some states have strict regulations governing raffles and gaming events carried out for charitable purposes. Event organizers may obtain more information on the rules governing the conduct of raffles and other “games of chance” in their state by contacting the Department of the Attorney General, Division of Public Charities in their state.
We will send you a letter stating that you are an official fundraiser for the MMRF. This letter can be used when approaching companies asking for donations. Please note that in order to receive tax receipts, all checks MUST be written to the MMRF directly.
