Development

Vice President of Business Development
The MMRF is searching an individual who will partner with the CEO, CFO and SVP of Research and other Executive Team members, who will be able to integrate the Science, Business and Technology as the MMRF develops and executes its strategy over the next several years. The Vice President of Development will manage, direct, administer, and coordinate business development projects, partnering and collaboration programs and initiatives to assist in the acceleration of drug development. This individual will build relationships in the scientific community.

Vice President of Development
The Vice President of Development is responsible for providing leadership, strategy, planning, and guidance for the comprehensive fundraising efforts and day-to-day management for all development-related programs. The Vice President of Development will streamline all fundraising activities, including identification, qualification, and assignment of prospects, as well as cultivation, solicitation, closure, and stewardship. The Vice President of Development is responsible for identifying an optimal pool of high-capacity prospects, supporters, and donors and will represent the organization at key donor meetings, events, and fundraising conferences, articulating the organization’s innovative business model, operational strategies, and successes.

Marketing

Director of Marketing
The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) is searching for a creative, resourceful, integrative thinker for a highly visible role to develop, lead, and execute the day-to-day marketing and communications strategy. The Director of Marketing will collaborate cross functionally with all business units (clinical, research, development, events, and education) with a primary focus on supporting the development and education teams to ensure a positive impact on donor/patient experiences. This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing and is based in Norwalk, CT.

Internships & Volunteers

Volunteers
We so appreciate the importance of having individuals who make a difference for us by volunteering their time on specific projects. Opportunities exist throughout the organization but we have the greatest need for volunteers to work on events.

Interns
We work with graduate schools to provide internship projects specifically geared to the required course programs. You can apply for one of the internships we have already defined, or you can apply to us directly to propose the type of internship you would like to have us consider.

The internship projects typically include:

  • Defining the project, expected outcomes and next steps
  • Researching
  • Benchmarking
  • Analyzing and recommending
  • Preparing a presentation
  • Presenting recommendations to the Executive Committee and appropriate members of staff
