Tissue Bank Roundtable: Current Use and Future Direction

Objectives

To develop and optimize the capabilities of the MMRC Tissue Bank through the combined insight and knowledge from other cancer biobanks and the lessons learned from our existing Tissue Bank. The goal is to launch a new version of the MMRC Tissue Bank in 2010, designed to support: 1) the use of emerging molecular technologies; and 2) the most pressing studies to be undertaken using the Tissue Bank samples. This initiative will ultimately lead to a better understanding of myeloma biology and the development of new therapeutics.
