A Strategic Framework for Novel Drug Development in Multiple Myeloma

Objective

On June 15-16, 2005 the MMRF held a roundtable to establish a strategic framework for new drug development in myeloma. By bringing together leaders from the pharmaceutical industry, academic institutions and the FDA Office of Oncology Drug Products, the MMRF is expediting drug discovery and the clinical trials process. As a result of this roundtable and ongoing discussions with the FDA, the MMRF hopes to build consensus among these groups, which will result in new drugs getting into clinical trials faster, and as a result, in the market, faster.
