You have made a commitment, now make a plan. Or better yet, let us provide one for you as part of our commitment to help you get to the starting line of your MMRF event healthy and ready for a great race. Our training plans, designed by MMRF Team Coach Tom Holland, will put you on the right track to achieve your goal, whether this is your first race or you are a seasoned competitor.
Get started now with a free training plan designed by Tom Holland, leading authority on how runners should train, author of several books on training including: The Marathon Method: The 16-Week Training Program that Prepares You to Finish a Full or Half Marathon in Your Best Time and The 12-Week Triathlete: Train for a Triathlon in Just Three Months.
Click on the Training Plans button below to find the training plan that's just right for you. Choose from 16 week plans at the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels for both Marathons and Half Marathons. You can preview the various plans, and then when you have found the one you want, proceed as if you were going to buy a plan (If you do not have a Training Peaks account yet, you will be prompted at this time to sign up for one).
After you proceed to “buy” the online training plan, bypass entering your credit card information and instead simply enter the code "mmrf" in the PROMO/COUPON box when you check out, and you will receive your plan free of charge.
Once you have received your training plan and logged into your TrainingPeaks account, follow these instructions to apply the plan to your calendar, and get started:
- Click on the Plans, Pods and Store tab on the upper left hand side of your account
- Click on the name of the plan you just purchased and select Apply to load it into your Calendar starting with the date you choose
